Why Pursuing Your Dreams Is Important
It’s late on a Monday night. Before bed, I’ve been taking time to sit quietly and reflect on whatever thought feels most present in my mind. Tonight, that thought is the importance of pursuing your dreams.
So why is pursuing your dreams so important?
For me, it comes down to time. I’ve become deeply aware of how limited our time here truly is.
My dreams are goals I think about constantly. I see them in my sleep. At times, it feels as though I’m being called toward them, whether by God, the universe, or something deeper within myself. Pursuing these dreams gives me a sense of purpose. It makes me feel aligned, as though I’m doing what I was meant to do.
There have been moments in my life when I felt like my goals didn’t matter, or that they weren’t important enough to chase. But what I’ve come to realize is that they are the very thing that has kept me going all this time.
Even on my worst days, hope lingers somewhere in the back of my mind. There’s a quiet inner voice that says, “maybe, just maybe, it will all work out.” And that voice is the reason I keep pushing forward.
I’ve experienced setbacks, and I live a fairly private life, but I continue moving forward, sometimes with only one tiny step at a time.
We are all on our own journeys, each carrying dreams that are uniquely ours.
If you ever feel like you’re meant for more than your current reality, my advice is simple: keep being yourself. Find ways to express who you are in ways that align with your goals and dreams.
Keep hope and faith with you daily as you move forward. Be your own biggest cheerleader, and never speak down to yourself.
I believe that when you share your authentic self with the world, you will be rewarded for it because you carry a spark that others are searching for, even if they don’t yet realize it.
Remember, life is short. Nearly half of it is spent sleeping. If deep down you feel that you’re meant for more, take that feeling as a sign.
Keep chasing your dreams until they become your reality.
